Former Foxwood president created a new New York casino
This chart shows a hotel and a huge entertainment center rising on 52 acres around St. Mary's in Cataract Church. The buildings are part of the Seneca Niagara Casino expansion plan over the next five years. St. Mary's does not.
"The church stays," said Mickey Brown, president and CEO of Seneca Niagara Casino, laughing in a conference room behind his office. "God stays. Exempted."
The buildings rise in several frames along the chart, and some are getting closer to reality: Construction of a 26-story, 600-room hotel nearby will begin in April.
The city expects Seneca Nation's work to transform the city, and if Brown's first year is any indication, the rest of the building will be built within a set period of time.
Brown, the former president and CEO of Foxwood Resorts Casino, has kept the deadline alive since taking over the game's operations more than a year ago, taking advantage of his experience in quickly completing construction at Foxwood and applying it to new facilities.
It took over the main building of Seneca Niagara Casino under Brown and converted it into a gaming facility in about 100 days.
"The lessons I learned (at Foxwood) helped me finish the construction on schedule and open it," Brown said, "and it's the second easiest thing because I've done it before." 바카라사이트 추천
Seneca Niagara originates from an area smaller and less populated than Foxwood, but it has the natural wonders of the world, attracting tens of millions of visitors a year just a few blocks away. However, most of them are international visitors, and casino executives say their clients tend to come from nearby Rochester and Buffalo.
"We're going to be a destination resort with people coming to see existing attractions," he said. "And there's absolute support from the community, which is the difference. People want us here and they like us. They're good for us."
